Tuqan (57) – Coogan (55)

Team Tuqan: No write up. Still in disbelief that he scored the same amount of points in a game
as Tim George.

Team Coogan: Team Coogan In a game that was back and forth all the way till the end Team
Haf edged out the win by four points. Anderson was picked to guard Haf all game and did a
good job making him work for his points. Tim George came up big and nailed some key 3
pointers and Marcus made his way to the rim to keep TC in the game. In the end TH had too
much power around the goal and defeated TC missing their #1 pick Faircloth who forgot to
mention he’d miss this many games in his notes.

Brantley (76) – Aillet (89)

Team Brantley: No write up. Still in disbelief that his team gave up 89 points.

Team Aillet: Thanks for checking back in after week 1. Much better roster attendance this
week for Team Aillet and results showed. Defensive specialist hide your eyes, bc both offenses
where scoring in bunches! Either playing or watching, you got your money’s worth.

Hebert (64) – Sumner (71)

Team Hebert: An Hebertless Team Hebert took on Team Sumner and came up a bit short at
the end. Danny and Cal shot lights out all night, making shot after shot from 3 and midrange.
Team Hebert kept it tight all game until Brandon freaking Deaton shot and made his first 3
pointer of his BRAAS career which put Team Sumner up for good. They made free throws down
the stretch to close it out. Solid showing by both teams.

Team Sumner: No write up from Danny but as usual Michael sent in a write up for his team.
#GoodSumner

Alexander (53) – Mahtook (42)

Team Alexander: Team Alexander Secures Victory with Ryan Evans Back in the Lineup!
In a statement win, Team Alexander brought their A-game and came out victorious, fueled by
the return of Ryan Evans. Evans made an immediate impact, delivering key plays on both ends
of the court and providing the spark the team needed to dominate.
Scott Alexander was the steady leader as always, orchestrating the game with poise and
dropping big buckets in critical moments. Matt Allen brought his relentless energy, scoring
efficiently and keeping the defense on its heels. Michael Rutland added his signature hustle,
grabbing rebounds and making hustle plays that kept the momentum firmly on Team
Alexander’s side.

Jeff Hurst showed up in style, contributing key minutes and finding his rhythm at just the right
time. With Evans back and firing on all cylinders, the team played a balanced, confident game
from tip-off to the final buzzer.
The win highlighted Team Alexander’s depth, grit, and chemistry.

Team Mahtook: Dam we couldn’t even get a write up from Deaton?

W. Arcement (55) – Davenport (70)

Team W Arcement: TA was without their captain this week as they battled vs TD in week 2.
Booboo (returning from injury) and Pat Walker lead TA as they fought shorthanded again. They
hope to get their full squad back after the Thanksgiving bye to get themselves into the win
column.

Team Davenport: Some people prioritize other things over basketball which is wild. Capt Will
Arcement abandons his Team and pays for it with the L. Team Davenport won this game on the
boards out-rebounding Team Arcement 40-14. Boo Boo’s heroics through injury (27 pts) and
future Legends All-Star Pat Walker’s youthful resurgence(20 pts) came up short against a
balanced and unselfish Team Davenport. Can’t wait to play a team that actually cares enough to
show up #Ballislife.

Wall (77) – P. Arcement (50)

Team Wall: Team Wall(2Wall) jumped out to a 28-17 lead after the first quarter, and that was
about as close as this game ever got. Asked after the game, team captain Josh “I’ll Sponsor
That” Wall (owner and founder, Wall2Wall Construction, where quality meets excellence!) said
that he appreciated his team learning how to shoot after their week 1 performance, as they
quadrupled their three-pointer total for the season in the third quarter alone.
Team Wall had a well-rounded performance, as everyone named Sumner or employed by
Wall2Wall scored in double digits, combining for 69 total points (nice). Team “We’ll Be Healthy
for the Playoffs, Maybe” had strong performances from super tall superstar Korey Salmon (18
points, 87 shots altered on defense) and Jeremy Jenny (4 fouls, two ounces of blood drawn,
one ruined shirt). Rookie Ryan Mockler continued his now 10-game streak (counting football) of
showing up with a full ice chest – an impressive performance as he battles back from injury.
The solid win for Team Wall has them looking forward to playing against Haf for the second
week in a row after the bye.

Team P. Arcement: Game started off close tied at 14 mid 1st. Then in a blink it was 28-17 after
the 1st quarter. And not much changed after that. Team Wall took advantage of a hot shooting
night making 9 threes and never let us back in it. Not our best game by far but they outplayed
us. Haf was our fill in captain for the game while Tate got the call up from legends. Both made
some shots for us to keep it closer. Game felt much more evenly matched when we went up
against their “playoff lineup” in the 4th as Scott rested in the blowout. Overall not worried as we
were missing 3 of our 7 players. We’re just looking to get our team captain and our beverage
captain Mockler healthy to see what we can do. Would also help if Jenny doesn’t foul out in the
first half next game.

LEGENDS

Goscha (60) – Smith (31)

Team Goscha: There were six present for the game and all six made it to Walk-On’s. That’s
where this game story starts. Jason Landry and I were jockeying for a place for the group to sit
and we chose the bar, or it chose us? Next thing we know we have a reveal party headed past
us when the top of one of the reveal guest became the revealer. The dress just fails and there
sat two puppy dogs, silver dollars and then fireworks got out of control in the side yard. Jim
“often called Tim” Young was the lonesome dove from team smith and nobody from open
league made the first hour or got to see fun bags!

Game was missing huge star power with Boyce and Babin missing from Goscha, while Roussel,
Parrot,  and Bueche were missing for Smith. Goscha picked up his 10th foul of his BRAAS
Career on a likely flop by smith. Ledoux led team Goscha on offense with 27 points. Five three
pointers and countless offensive and defensive rebounds. After the game we got to meet his
girlfriend, and she described in detail how she’s been working on his “shooting” technique?
Come to walk-ons in the future to get this inside info. Keep in mind if you’re married this type of
coaching is likely not in your grasp.
Lato shot 2-3 on the night with 1 being a 3. Fruge was 2-2, Landry went 1-1, Dean was 3-3 with
2 of these being 3 balls, Goscha had 14 at the half and then decided to be a 3-point shooter.
Nothing but air from there. Team Smith played hard and will be a tough out at full strength. They
were led by Smith’s 20-point effort.

Team Smith: He knew how good Goscha’s write up would be.

Valenti (41) – Warde (40)

No write up for either and it looked like it was a great game. Sad!

Ourso (32) – Dornier (37)

Team Ourso: Missing our captain and Austin ‘Phil Ivey’ Fontenot hurt us this week. Well that
and our horrific shooting woes continued. Jimmy Sanridge was all over the place and hit some
big threes early. We scraped and clawed our way back close led by Freddy but it was too little,
too late

Team Dornier: Team Dornier started the game running as we decided to go fast with all 8
players showing — and all 8 gave great effort which put a lot of pressure on Team Ourso,
especially without 2 of their starters, Ourso and Fontenot — TD was led by rookie Jimmy
Sandridge and Big guy Jacob Talley with 12 points each, followed by buckets by everyone else –
– defensively, everyone was going hard for TD, getting steals, Nixon, Boyd, Martin and
Sandrdge…Carr doing a great job cutting underneath and Ringe hitting a big 3 to help expand
our lead — TO made a great rush to get them back close with great scoring  from Freddy Smith
and Pitre, and great effort from Rookie Ryan Guzzardo, Box and Snowbarger
Team Ourso will be tough with all their players there

Tate (55) – Lambert (30)

Team Tate: The showdown between Team Tate and Team Lambert ended in a decisive 49-30
victory for Team Tate, who displayed dominant play on both ends of the court. Team Tate came
out firing in the first quarter, with Steve Davis and Kevin Tate combining for a sizzling 28 points
in the half, including six three-pointers. Their offensive explosion gave Team Tate a 21-14 lead
after the first quarter, which they extended to 28-19 by halftime. Team Lambert struggled to find
rhythm, managing just 5 points in the second quarter.   The second half saw Team Tate maintain
their control, outscoring Team Lambert in both quarters. Despite strong efforts from Levesque
who led Team Lambert with 13 points and Matt Lambert who finished with 8, Team Lambert
could not overcome their offensive struggles, particularly in the fourth quarter, where they
managed only 2 points. On the other hand, Team Tate’s balanced scoring attack and defensive
pressure, led by Hood’s rebounding dominance, sealed the victory.

Team Lambert: Damn! We gave up 21 pts in Q1…..the worst defensive start in 15 years for us.
Team Tate came out smoking in the first half. Steve Davis hit five 3’s, Tate (14 pts) and
Fortenberry were running around getting open… way too much energy this early in be the year!
They are a tough team to guard. First of all I played horrible. Missed a lot of shots, nursing back
spasms and was about 60%, but still missed a lot of wide-ass open shots, which just hurt the
team tremendously. We did scored a strong 14 pts in Q1 with a needed boost from Mulkey and
Levesque. Good ball movement against the zone and a balanced attack. Finally we switched to
man defense and played with pride and held Team Tate to a more reasonable amount, but by
then we were spent and could not score enough to get back into the game… we need to hit the
treadmill and pick up the cardio. Need to make special note of the especially good efforts from
Lockwood and Levesque on defense to hold Davis and Tate to 3 and 2 in the 2nd half. We were
missing Barbay and Trevor.
