Team Lockwood 36 vs Team Reitzell 42

Team Lockwood:  It was a hard-fought game as both teams were missing Key players.  It was a tight game tied 19-19 at the half.  Then in the 3rd quarter we decided to leave Dukes open and he buried a couple of threes in a row.  While we did our patented cant hit from anywhere on the floor routine for the entirety of the 3rd quarter.  In the 4th we managed to cut a double-digit lead down to 6 but then left Dukes open to bury another 3 and then Dean and Remy hit some clutch free throws to seal it.

Goscha was strong in the paint scoring (18), rebounding, and blocking shots, I hit a couple of threes and Mike hit one but we both missed more than we made. Keltner hit a couple of shots and played good D.  Then there is Tullier, well Tullier showed up in the second quarter and then proceeded to foul out.  Must be some kind of Parrott/Barbay record or something.

Out Bueche, Smith

Team Reitzell:  No Recap

Team Pitre 40 vs Team Miller 45

Team Pitre:  Team Miller took a hard-fought win in overtime over Team Pitre 45-40. Both teams had key players missing and played the game with 6 players. This was a very well played game for both teams. Team Pitre ended the first quarter leading 16-10. Both teams made hitting on 2 3-pointers and hitting some free throws that gave Pitre the lead. The second quarter saw team Miller outscore Pitre 13-8 as LaDoux hits for 8 points in the quarter. Pitre led at halftime 24-23. The third quarter saw Team Miller outscore Team Pitre 12-4, as Team Pitre couldn’t get a few key shots to fall. The final quarter was a reversal of the third as Pitre outscored Miller 12-5. Brent Graham got hot in the final quarter to score 8 big points with a huge 3 pointer. Team Miller fouls Team Pitre shooting a 3 pointer with 5 seconds left to send them to the line. Team Pitre connects on all 3 free throws to send the game into overtime. We could not take advantage of the momentum from hitting the free throws and Kerry Bueche connected on a 3 pointer to end the game. This was a fun game and we look forward to next week.

Team Miller Recap as follows from Bueche:  We were missing Capt. Miller and Joel Davis. Team Pitre was missing Mulkey and a couple others??  Both teams played with 6 players.

Team Pitre came out firing and got hot with Pitre, Levesque and Brent Graham sharing the load but mostly Lane banging 3 pointers. They built a lead but then Team Miller moved to a box in one to minimize Lane’s hot hand and it slowed them a little.  Team Miller spread the scoring out pretty good and managed to climb in it by half.

At the end of 3rd qtr Team Miller had taken a lead but tired a little and surrendered almost all of it with less than a minute to go.   A missed layup and and then a foul by ‘lil Bueche on Pitre put Lane on the line with less than 10 seconds and down 3 pts.  He made all three free throws to tie the game and Team Miller took a time out but couldn’t get the ball down the court with enough time for a shot.

Tie game at end of regulation.

In OT, Team Miller got the ball first and Ourso drove the lane forced a tough shot but got his own rebound and then the put-back for the first 2 points.  Team Pitre could not score on their first possession  and when Team Miller got the ball back Ourso passed it to Bueche who closed his eyes and let a 3-pointer fly and somehow made it.

Pretty good game for both teams

Team Lato 32 vs Team Dartez 38

This game did not go as expected for Team Lato.  Once again, we were down two players with a third coming off of an injury.  Undefeated Team Dartez posed a huge challenge for Team Lato.  As we always do, we played great defense and moved the ball well on offense and found ourselves up by 1 point at the end of the first quarter.  Team Dartez went on a few runs, but we countered each time.  The game ended in a tie.  We made it to overtime but did not have enough gas in the tank to finish the game.  Team Lato was led in scoring with 13 points from Burke and 8 from Naquin.  Everyone hit the boards hard and we played our best game of the year.  Carreras and Warde were strong on the outside for team Dartez.

Out – G. Lato

Present but injured – Price

Team Dartez:  Winner, Winner Chicken Dinner

Team Fortenberry 33 vs Team Lambert 35

Tough loss vs Team Fortenberry this week, however very pleased with the entire team’s effort.   We played with 5 and battled the entire game losing by 2 at the end.  The 3 headed monster of Lambert, Crick, & Eues were too much as they combined for 33 of Team Lambert’s 35 points.

Everyone on Team Fortenberry scored, with Reggie leading the way with 17.

Team Lambert:  Situation Normal……….
