Team Smith (44) – Team LeDoux (54)

Smith:  Someone help Team Smith out and send in a recap to Reitzell next week!

LeDoux:  Our game with team smith was rather uneventful without captain Smith in the lineup. Our best wishes on his speedy recovery. We got off to a decent start and maintained a comfortable lead most of the game. With Snowbarger banging down low and Snowbird Roy running the courts for layups and Fontenot raining threes from the outside to keep it close, Team LeDoux was able to match their intensity and with a strong performance from Dean, Talley, Burke ending up in double figures with Layne, Trevor, and Parrot supplying the elbows.  Overall not a bad performance by either team.

Team Goscha (43) – Team Dukes (53)

Goscha:  Team Goscha was cold early and late. Scoring 5 points in the first quarter and digging ourselves into a 12 point deficit at the half. We then scored 16 in the third and had the lead cut to 3 with 7 minutes to play in the fourth. A flurry of fouls and good free throw shooting sealed the win for dukes at 10 points. Team Goscha was led by Smith with 13  pts and Lato on a masterful defensive effort in the second half. While the boxing 1 didn’t win us the game it forced others to hit shots with Roussel scoring 16 in the first half but only three in the second. Tim moved to the perimeter after two quick fouls and scored 19 pts with 15 coming from behind the arc. Scott Rietzel shot very well scoring 13 pts for team Dukes. Also big shout out to Larry as he hit some clutch shots and fought like hell inside. Madison hit several clutch shots as well.

The official was spot on again and we are blessed to have him. I would like to chip in a bonus payment at the end of the season to ensure he stays for the next 10 years. Great parody so far and best of luck to smith as he recovers from his elbow surgery.

Dukes:  This was one of those games when a 10 point win on the scoreboard is closer than it seems. Team Goscha is stacked on both sides of the ball and we needed scoring and defense from all 6 guys to pull this one out. We got off to a good start in the first scoring 14 and managed to score double digits in all 4 quarters. We let a 10 point halftime lead get cut to 5 in the third thanks to some timely buckets from Dom and Dornier and we were up 7 after 3. Scott and Maddy took over the offense in 4th scoring all 13 of our points and Maddy iced the game at the free throw line with roughly 30 seconds left.  Tim lead us in scoring with 19 followed by Scott with 15. This was a really good win for us after the beatdown Lambert gave us in week 2. On to the next one.

Team Lambert (32) – Team Dartez (41)

Lambert:  Team Dartez won a hard fought game in week 3.  The game was a close back and forth in the first half with both teams having their fair  share of points. Team Dartez played a stingy 2-3 zone and on offense Tate and Dartez led the way with 15 and 9 respectively and timely 3’a from Ourso.
Team Lambert played hard the entire time and we will continue to improve as the season goes on.  Good contributions from all. Stellar defense from Fortenberry. Team Dartez pulled away with a 14 pt fourth quarter.  Though we were able to cut it close the opponents went an an 8-0 run to end the game.

Dartez: I feel like Legends Rookie Kevin Tate should be handling these writeups.

Team Levesque (34) – Team Eues (60)

Eues:  Team Eues tops Levesque 60-35 in a battle of a 5-man Team Eues and a Levesque-less Team Levesque. Captain Corey got the party started by hitting a 3 pointer about five seconds into the game then kept the hot hand going all night ending up with 14 points. Chris Boyce, Page Warde & Chris Crick also scored in double figures and Bill Merritt played shut down defense. The most important stat of the night was that Team Eues had 100% participation at Walk Ons after the game. Big Thanks to John Dugas who vowed to contact Walk Ons to get the service situation corrected.  Teams Eues moves to 2-1 with the win and is improving,  but still has the occasional nightmare of their Week One 48 point loss.

Reggie Wheeler & Tommy Wafer had solid games for Team Levesque and Tommy was heard saying after the game that if he would have guarded Boyce all game they would have won.

Side Note: The official that called the Legends Game last night by himself did a great job and is one of the best officials we have had.

Levesque: Hummm bruh.
